On Saturday March 11, the Hanbury Arms witnessed an unusual
site (even for this end of town)... people dressed in
curlers, headscarves and flat caps and brandishing strange
items - including Radion and economy beans. In some cases,
people were covered in coal.
The evening progressed in an unglamorous Northern fashion,
with a meat draw, concerns about curler maintenance and
widespread consumption of Newky Brown Ale. Thankfully,
Nurse John left his treatments at home this time...
The after party was suitably entertaining - for those
of us who made it that far. Where do you end up at the
end of the night when there's nowhere else to go? In DJ
Diamante's case, in a skip on Brighton seafront. Don't
miss the photographic evidence.
As usual, thanks to John Dark & Long for taking the
pics.
